The Coast

I grew up on a small coastal town in California, population 5000. It was a fishing and logging town when I lived there but those industries are pretty much extinct, and now it's just a tourist destination. I went back in October for my grandfather's funeral. Below are a few images I took:

This is the sunset at Todd's point. I used to go here several times a month to watch the sunset. In fact the thing I miss most about not living on the coast is the sunsets over the ocean, so beautiful:

This is the Noyo Bridge, it's a historic site in the town. I used to walk the logging road that goes to this bridge several times a week after high school (when I wasn't at work!). I would walk it 1-2 miles by myself. It was a gorgeous walk along the ocean.

This is the fishing harbor at dusk. This is the famous harbor that the movie "Overboard" with Goldie Hawn was filmed at:

I just loved this stained glass window that was in the church at my grandfather's service. I love angels -- my daughters room is decorated in angels and fairies.

Now you know a little bit more about me :) -Sara

Is that church St. Michael's Episcopal?

Yep! It's a gorgeous church. I had only been in it one other time for a friend's wedding in high school. :)
