Newport, Oregon

Last weekend I went to the coast with my family, four generations of the Ash women. We had a great time hanging out and just enjoying each other (unfortunately we don’t get to do that very much). We spent some time window shopping but my favorite thing was the Oregon Coast Aquarium. I had no idea it was so fabulous! I grew up on the coast in California so the ocean and sea life is not a big deal to me at all, actually it bores me. But this aquarium was great! I wasn't bored at all! If you haven’t been it’s a must see, especially the underground walk through caves.

This shot reminds me of where I grew up. We had a big bridge on one side of town and you had to cross it to get to the other side. We also had a lot of sea lions hanging out on our fishing docks.

I liked the design of this architecture:

Scary sharks swimming over my head!

These jelly fish were dancing for me. It was beautiful watching them:

We found some cabins right on the beach. They were great and had a kitchen and everything! The sad thing is is that they are tearing them down to build a huge condo. A view from where we were staying:
